University of Kansas: Lawrence (Main) Campus

The main campus of the University of Kansas is located about 40 miles west of Kansas City, in the community of Lawrence (approximately 100,000 residents). The campus is located on and gathered around Mt. Oread, and includes generous green space.

KU is a major comprehensive research and teaching institution that serves as a center for learning, scholarship and creative endeavor.
